Looking at putting a one piece DNZ 1" telescopic mount on my 7mm Rem magazine browning Xbolt. They are aluminum 1 piece, iv screws each cease of base (8total) only merely 2 screws per band instead of 4 like I've usually had. Any reviews on them?

I really like them. Wasn't a fan of that style mount until I bought my adirondack and they came with information technology. They seem really solid so far and accept a great fit and finish.

They're every bit strong as anything I've used. Which is to say others have failed where the DNZ never have. I've never seen or heard a knock confronting them other than they're ugly.

The DNZ are bulky, but solid. They flat work.

I take iii of the ane piece DRT mounts, and one of the two piece Hunter mounts. All good to get. The Hunter is a four spiral per band. And without being a i slice, there is no bridge bar. Then more than room for fingers in the action if needed. Only I'd use alinement confined to make sure the rings are strait on top of the action. The single slice DRT mount information technology'due south all-time. Much stronger when mounted. It doesn't need four screws per ring with the single slice design.

The DNZ comes recommended highly from quite a few optics manufacturers.

They have crappy ring spacing, IMO. And no way to maximize information technology......

just installed 2 sets of these. they are squeamish!~ lighter than my standard go to regular base n Leupy PRWS. there are 2 and 4 screw versions. i went with the 2 screw per rings version. didnt feel the need to lap them. i did lightly coat the inside of the rings with rtv. liquid electric tape has worked for me in the past too.

It's never been a problem for me, or whatsoever setup I've seen. What scope and gun exactly did the DNZ scope rings not work on?

they'll 'piece of work', generically, on well-nigh stuff. Simply there is no option to motility or maximize spacing. Most guys don't bother to max out their stuff anyhow, equally they've not been taught that is the strongest way to go.

Used the one slice on the concluding four rifles I have owned (even so own). Takes the alignment issue away and I accept no bug.

What 'alignment issues' would a skilful rail and well machined fix of rings have? Care to 'upshot' an opinion?

Then it works fine, but in your opinion, your way is better. Got it.

I'd honey to see where moving the front end ring forrard a half inch makes whatever departure in accuracy or strength when using a quality optic with a 1 piece tube.

They are all I utilise now. I've had not bad success with them, which is what triggered me slowly using them for everything.

What 'alignment issues' would a adept rail and well machined set of rings have? Intendance to 'issue' an stance?

THAT would depend on the activity screw holes, like Remington for one is famous for not beingness aligned forepart to rear simply it's non very common these days - as far as the "strength" issue goes, if y'all hit the telescopic hard enough to make a difference something else will likely be messed up as well - I have and practise utilise them with consummate satisfaction merely 1 thing to mention for anyone who occasionally likes to carry the rifle by the telescopic is that information technology's not quite as comfortable of handy to do and then with a one slice although a rail tin can present the aforementioned "trouble"

What am I missing hither? If a rail will be miss-aligned because of 'famously off front to rear holes', a DNZ won't be off the same? Are the holes in a DNZ adjustable for this?

Not a pi$$ing competition. Y'all like your style, I like mine. The alignment of the rings every bit the scope sits in them. Non the alignment of the mount to LOS.

I believe in DNZ they are on every hunting rifle I own. Put in on, locked them in, adjusted scope. Never had an issue. To me thats good plenty to get my business organisation. If you lot demand a ramp to increment your scope drop I could see why you would want something else.

I usually go to the range before the season just to cheque everything. Never had anything autumn out of aligning or come loose. Pretty solid in my stance.

I recently purchased the DNZ mount for my x-commodities. I was a piddling apprehensive about the 2 band screws instead of four as well just decided to endeavour it. I have been very pleased with the mount so far. I am not gentle with my rifles and the DNZ mount has worked flawlessly. The scope tracks true and it was a breeze to mount. I have the low mount and I have the Vortex Razor LH 3-15x42 and information technology is perfect. It is so low that the manufactory vortex scope caps won't fit over it...perfect.

To comment on some of the above posts: Being a 1 piece mountain yous don't have to worry well-nigh adjustment them. If the rifle's mounting holes are non perfectly straight then the mount will either non mount upwards or it would mount kleptomaniacal. This would evidence when you tested your scope for tracking or dialed your scope for various distances considering the center line of the bore would exist off of the center line of the scope. If your rifle'southward mounts are off centered and so at that place is zilch incorrect with your mountain and I would send it back to the manufacturer. I guess if you prefer you could get a two piece setup and endeavour to marshal them despite your mounting holes beingness crooked just that seems impaired to me. Merely that is just my opinion and mayhap I'yard wrong.

My experience with two piece mounts are defective simply I'm non sure how you can max the altitude in between them out due to the fact that the rings themselves are not adjustable and they mount directly into the holes. That being said if you had a weaver or picatinny base of operations and then mounted rings to that, then you could max them out but that is heavier than a DNZ mount.

All in all, for the price I think that it is a high quality mount that works very well and weighs next to nil. I ultimately decided to become with information technology considering it seemed to me to be a strong compromise of all those attributes and I tin can't dock information technology for anything.
